The Materials Science and Engineering Expert Committee (MatSEEC), founded by the European Science Foundation in October 2009, presented this position paper entitled “Metallurgy Europe: A Renaissance Programme for 2012-2022”. This report calls European decision-makers and funding agencies to act and to implement this central recommendation.

Successful Mid-term review meeting on the ThermoMag project in Nicosia, Cyprus

On 15 November 2012 the ThermoMag project team met in Nicosia to discuss the progress and future planning of the project activities.

ThermoMag received a favorable appraisal on the project status from the EC representatives who participated in this important Mid-term review meeting.



European Conference on Thermoelectrics 2013

The dates for the ECT 2013 have been announced during the ECT 2012 held in Aalborg (Denmark) . The conference will be hosted by the European Space Agency's Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands in November 18th-20th 2013.

Thermomag team meets in Germany

The ThermoMag project team met for the third plenary meeting on May 24, 2012 at EADS-Airbus in Hamburg, Germany. The progress status of the project during the first year have been successfully presented and discussed by the participants. All participants paid their tributes to the memory of the late Prof. David Michael Rowe.
